My Favorite Paris Pharmacy

If you’re anything like me, a trip to a French pharmacy is one of the highlights of visiting Paris.
I always arrive with a list of skincare favorites to restock, a few products I’ve been meaning to try, and the hope of discovering something new. Over the years, I’ve visited many of Paris’s well-known discount pharmacies, including the ones that regularly appear on social media and travel blogs.
But on my most recent trip, I found a pharmacy that offers something those famous stores often don’t: a genuinely enjoyable shopping experience.
Why I Love Pharmacie Monge
Located right beside the Place Monge Metro station in Paris’s 5th arrondissement, Pharmacie Monge couldn’t be more convenient. In fact, you can practically step off the Metro and walk straight into the store.
For visitors planning a French pharmacy shopping spree, convenience matters. So does time. And that’s where Pharmacie Monge really shines.
Unlike some of the more famous discount pharmacies in Paris, I didn’t find myself battling crowds, waiting in long checkout lines, or squeezing through packed aisles. Instead, I was able to browse comfortably and actually enjoy the experience.
Competitive Prices Without the Chaos
One of the biggest misconceptions is that you need to visit the most crowded pharmacy in Paris to get the best deals.
In my experience, Pharmacie Monge’s prices are extremely competitive and comparable to the larger discount pharmacies. The difference is that you can shop at your own pace without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
For me, that alone is worth the visit.
Helpful Staff Who Go Beyond the Basics
What truly stood out during my visit was the staff.
I spent time discussing hair health, anti aging skin, and wellness supplements. The staff was so helpful and introduced me to some new products, gave me great recommendations tailored to my questions. Rather than simply pointing me toward a shelf, they took the time to explain products and offer guidance. As someone who loves discovering the best French beauty products, I found this incredibly valuable.

If you’ve ever arrived at a popular Paris pharmacy only to discover that half the products on your list are sold out, you’ll appreciate this.
Pharmacie Monge had excellent stock levels during my visit, making it easy to find everything I was looking for in one place. From French skincare staples to supplements and beauty products, the selection was impressive.

Is Pharmacy Monge worth visiting?
Paris is filled with wonderful pharmacies, and I still enjoy frequenting my neighbourhood pharmacy.
But if you’re looking for competitive prices, knowledgeable staff, excellent product selection, a convenient location, and a calmer shopping experience, Pharmacie Monge has become one of my favorite recommendations.
It’s the kind of place that reminds me that travel isn’t just about finding the lowest price. Sometimes it’s about enjoying the experience along the way.
